2010 ASID Designer Showhouses on Longboat Key
The 2010 ASIS Designer Showhouses opening event was held Saturday evening. The Showhouses benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee & Sarasota Counties. Two outstanding Longboat Key, Florida homes were presented at an evening event which was well attended. Sarasota designers and their guests sparkled poolside at a delightful party catered by Harry’s Continental Kitchen to celebrate the showhouses opening.
Sarasota’s School of Architecture was acknowledged in the Tim Seibert designed “mid-century modern” waterfront home. The home’s is “designed with a minimal of detail and a maximum use of the indoor/outdoor lifestyle. The designers portrayed the period of the home in the interior rooms on display. House Captain is Jackelyn Yops Rogerson.
Carri Tryne donated the luxury golf course view home behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club. The contemporary interior design was done with neutral colors with sharp accents. The emphasis of this house centers on the fabulous outdoor living areas. House Captain for the Longboat Key Club home is Cheri Pachter-Neary.
Spotted at the poolside party were Erin Blosser & Christina Julian, two Sarasota interior designers celebrating the completion of their beautiful rooms in the showhouse. Erin Blosser, Allied ASID, designed the master bedroom of the Seibert home pictured above. The master bedroom features simple visual lines. The color palate of browns and rust was inspired by the home’s original terrazzo flooring.
The ASID Showhouses will be open from January 23 to February 21.
